• WGC HUB

    With the rise of touring guitarists borrowing instruments from local guitarists mainly due to airline restrictions, we created this collaborative hub of guitarists making their instruments available to borrow worldwide. This community can also be helpful if your own guitar becomes unplayable and you still need to perform or record away from home.

    Here is the map of locations and guitars currently made available by their owners. Expand the map for a broader view, or click the button in the top left of the map to see a list of all available locations, which will be updated weekly. If you would like to take part of the Hub, read the short instructions and fill up the forms below.

    Also, feel free to tag WGC on social media in case you successfully borrow a guitar, and we'll be happy to share your videos and stories!

    HOW TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE WGC HUB

    To access local owners’ contact details, you’ll need to make at least one guitar available in your location. The process is very simple:

    1. Fill out the BECOME A WGC HUBBER form below with details about yourself and your available guitar(s). Your guitar(s) will be added to the map in your location without publicly displaying your name or contact details.

    2. If you’re interested in borrowing a specific guitar in a particular location, fill out the CONTACT REQUEST form below, and we’ll get back to you with the owner’s contact details as soon as possible.

    3. You’ll then be able contact the guitar owner directly, without any intervention from the WGC.

    If you’d like to borrow a guitar, please be gentle and respectful at every step of the process. Remember that guitarists tend to be very loving and protective of their “children”! If you’re borrowing an instrument, consider bringing a small gift to the owner, or offering concert tickets, CDs, or other thoughtful treats. If you’re an owner lending a guitar, consider inviting the visiting guitarist for coffee, dinner, or a chance to experience local cuisine, crafts, or culture. Let’s treat our colleagues the way we’d like to be treated.

    If you are a guitar maker, you're very welcome to list up to two instruments of your own production, preferably your top models.

    * ATTENTION *

    The WGC takes no responsibility for any damage to instruments or any other issues that may arise during the borrowing process. This Hub simply connects touring guitarists with guitar owners; all arrangements are made at their own risk. By signing up to the WGC Hub, you agree to these terms, as well as to being contacted by the WGC and those interested in borrowing an instrument from you.
